I am sharing this today to let people know it is possible to do, if you are willing to put the work in. I cant really explain the process to do this just yet, because I dont remember all the steps I took, but I do hope to 'master' this skill and create a tutorial to help others do the same. From there I cleaned it up until I was happy with the final product. I used a mix of SC4Mapper and SC4Terraformer to pull height maps(very broken height maps) and change some stuff to make them a little more usable, from there they were imported into C:SL to create a very rough, but usable file in the city editor. Although Will Wright had hinted to further development on SimCity 4, at the end, only 1 expansion pack was released in 2003, before the company moved on to developing The Sims 2. It was published by Electronic Arts and developed by series creator Maxis, a wholly owned subsidiary of EA.

It took me a few hours, but I managed to go from this region save file to this Cities: Skylines map. SimCity 4 is a 2003 city-building simulation computer game the fourth Maxis installment in the SimCity series. I had a region from Simcity 4 that I was very fond of, but without a height map I had the problem of having no way to bring it over to C:SL without rebuilding it all by hand.
